He was born in Arcadia, PA, and was a Lorain resident 37 years. He was employed as a carpenter with Gateway Export Co. and retired in 1972. For many years he raised and bred Pekingese dogs, and was a member of the Buckeye Pekingese club of Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Frances, to whom he was married 50 years; a son, Ronald L Kerr, of Hampton, Va.; daughters Mrs Murton (Evelyn) Campbell, Toledo, and Mrs Timothy (Judith) Greene, Olmsted Falls; brothers, Lester Kerr, Newcastle Pa; Lawrence Kerr, Youngstown; Jack Kerr of Jackson Ohio; and Everett Kerr of Florida, a sister, Mrs Charles (Virginia) Johnson of Arcadia, Pa; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the J.J. Gluvna and Sons Funeral Chapel Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM Services will be Wednesday at 1 PM in the funeral home with Rev Chris Hughes officiating.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Lorain.
