Born March 20, 1957 in Farmington. William grew up in Leadwood and worked for the Doe Run Company for 25 years. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. of Bismarck and the N.R.A. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Willard and Ruby Marie (Smith) Sago; grandparents, Ralph and Henrietta Smith, Emma Brewer.
William is survived by his wife, Joyce (Groves) Sago; two children, William David Sago, Jr. and wife Chasity of Bismarck, Emily (Mrs. Harley) Fenwick of Farmington; ten grandchildren, Jessie, Austin, Alyssa, Jenna, Alex, Hayley, Lauren, Hannah, Levi and Alaina; two sisters, Alice Sago of Park Hills and Kathy (Mrs. Wayne) Wortham of Chandler, AZ; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and his faithful companions, B.J. and Little Bit also survive.
