Jesse Green Clemmens was born Dec 14 1835 in Clay Co Missouri. He was the seventh child of thirteen children born to the Rev Anthony and Sarah Jobe Clemmens. He married Sarah Elizabeth George, the daughter of Enoch and Jane McCotter George, on Feb 14 1864, in Benton, Andrew, Missouri. Together they had three sons. William Ezra (1864-1925), George Samuel (1866-1955), and Edward Loren (1869-1936). Jesse's wife passed away on May 31 1919 in Benton, Andrew, Missouri. He followed her in death on Apr 30 1929, in Whitesville, Andrew, Missouri.
