Marian C. Smitek was born on December 5, 1921 in Grafton, Ohio and lived in Avon for 60 years coming from Grafton. Marian retired as a social worker with Catholic Social Services. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Avon. She is survived by her son Michael T. Smitek of North Ridgeville, and several nieces and nephews. She was proceded in death by her husband Paul "Frank" Smitek, and son Frank J. "Frankie" Smitek, and brothers Thomas and Joseph.The family will receive friends at the MISENCIK FUNERAL HOME, 36363 Detroit Rd. Avon, on Monday May 21, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Closing prayers Tuesday 9:30 AM followed by 10:00 AM Mass at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Avon. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
