Duran was born on May 2, 1987 at Sisseton, SD to Robert and Debra (Seaboy) Richotte. He grew up and attended school in Sisseton and Tiospa Zina.

Following his education he worked for Schlitz Goose Farm and Woodland Cabinetry.

Duran was an artist and he made dream catchers and loved to draw. He loved nature, playing cards, music and spending time with his children. He always had a smile on his face and loved to make people laugh. He liked to lift weights and work out. Duran was just accepted into the Wild Land Fire Fighting Unit in Montana.

Duran passed away on May 17, 2012 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

Duran is survived by his mother Debra Richotte of Agency Village, SD, six children, Trenton, Robert, Maliyah and Deray Richotte of Agency Village, SD and Twins Keenan and KeAndra Haug of Sisseton, SD; two brothers, Tyrell and Cole Richotte of Sisseton, SD; one sister, Lindsey Richotte of Sisseton, SD; maternal grandparents, David Seaboy and Rose Max of Sisseton, SD; and significant other, Amanda German of Sisseton, SD and numerous nieces and nephews. Duran was preceded in death by his father, Robert Richotte; paternal grandparents, Peter and Evelyn Richotte; one brother, Robert Paul Peter Richotte; and one uncle, Paul Richotte.
