Her parents are George Alexander Spittle (1867-1925) from Manchester, England and Mary Jane Elliott (1873-1935) from Pennsylvania. Ida was the twin sister of Irene Frances Spittle. Irene Frances Spittle born 7/31/1898 in Pittsburgh, PA, d. 1/19/56 in Torrance, Cal. Other siblings were: Mary Frances Spittle 1894-1957; George Alexander Jr. 1896-1951; Georgia Spittle 1896; Gertrude A. Spittle 1903-1926; Noama E. Spittle 1906-1983 and Clara L. Spittle 1909-1968.
Both of her parents are buried in West View Cemetary, Pittsburgh, PA.
