OBITUARY:
Irma E. Corbin Wagar, 92

Grafton - Irma E. Corbin Wagar, 92,of Route 2, died Friday, February 23, 2007 at Center for Living and Rehab in Bennington after a brief illness.

Born in Hoosick Falls, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Wolffe) Corbin and wife of the late Everett L. Wagar who died in 2003.

She moved to Grafton as a young child and resided there most of her life and was educated at Hoosick Falls Schools, Troy High School and did post graduate work.

Mrs. Wagar was a teachers aide at Grafton schools for 20 years retiring in 1980.

She was a member of Grafton United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for 40 years and a member of the Official Board of the church, United Methodist Women, a member of the Grafton Historical Society and Town Historian for many years and a Cub Scout and 4-H leader for many years. A member and secretary of the Rensselaer County Ambulance First Aid Association and former Secretary of the New York State- State Assistance Association. She was a founding member of the Grafton Rescue Squad and the Grafton Library.

She is survived by three sisters-in-laws, Frances Corbin (the late Leighton), Elizabeth Wagar (the late Earl) and Marjorie Wagar (the late Merritt); many nieces and nephews, [withheld] and several special great and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Venetta Frank and a brother, Leighton Corbin.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Grafton United Methodist Church Route 2 in Grafton with Rev. Robert Hurd, Pastor, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday from 3-7 PM.

Interment Grafton Center Cemetery in the spring together once again with her beloved husband.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Wagar to the Grafton United Methodist Church Building Fund PO Box 67, Grafton, NY 12082.
