"Hank" is survived by three brothers: Harold of Easton, Ernest of Springfield, and Archie of Decatur; three sisters: Mildred Spear of Greenview; Pearl Clayton of Peoria, and Velma Moats of Toulon; and a host of nieces and newphews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Donald "Ted".
"Hank" served his country valiantly during World War II being involved in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with Three Bronze Battle Stars and Six Overseas Service Bars.
