Two brothers Louis and Marvin and two sisters Doris and June preceded him in death.
Allan is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Tommie Lee Watson (Miss Lee).
He attended school in Natalia and participated in the schools many extracurricular activities including F.F.A. and the eleven man football team, but later attended and graduated from Hondo High School in 1954. After high school Allan volunteered to serve his county in the United States Army, and was stationed in such places as Pirmasens, Germany. After a two year tour, he came back to marry his high-school sweetheart, and began his career of thirty-two years in law enforcement. During this time he attended St. Mary's University, and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Mary's University in 1971.
Allan will always be remembered by family and friends as a strong, outgoing man who loved to work on the family farm, plant rose bushes, trees and vegetables, read, travel, and give a little history lesson every chance he got, but most of all a devoted, loving husband, a father of four children, Darrell, Tammie, May, and Betty, a Grandpa, and a Great-Grandpa.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Hurley Funeral Home, Devine, from 2:00PM until 9:00PM, with the family receiving friends from 7:00PM until 8:00PM. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 24, 2008, at 10:00AM, in the Chapel of Hurley Funeral Home, Devine. Interment will follow in Lytle Community Cemetery.
