Born in Montgomery County, Ga., he was a son of Mrs. Nellie Lowman McCaw and the late Samuel Alexander McCaw. He was a member of Union United Methodist Church and a retired employee of General Electric, Irmo.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Addie Ford McCaw, his mother of West Columbia; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce M. Dowd of Irmo; a son, Kenneth McCaw of Irmo; two sisters; Mrs. Loretta Rish and Miss Willie Mae McCaw of West Columbia; two brothers, B. A. and H.E. McCaw of Columbia; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father; two brothers; John T. McCaw of Vidalia, Ga.; James Elmo McCaw of Columbia.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Union UMC, conducted by the Rev. James H. Nates. Burial will be in Bush River Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Robert, Charles, Bill, Dan, Sam and Johnny McCaw.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home is in charge.
