She died in a Shreveport hospital after an illness of several months. Mrs. Hopson was a member of the Springhill Baptist Church.
She was survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs Gladys Watts of Ringgold, Louisiana, Mrs. Mary Robinette of Bossier City, Louisiana, Mrs. Bunah Goff of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Marguerite Digiovanni of Shreveport, Louisiana; one son, Lexie Hopson of Hamshire, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Barnie Tipton of Haughton, Mrs. Maggie Lee of Ringgold, Louisiana; 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
