Robert K. Barrow , 78, of 1109 RuthAnn Drive, Berwick, Columbia County, formerly of Lansford, died Friday, Dec. 8, in his home. He was the husband of Irene (Hrinda) Barrow. They were married 54 years in September.
He worked for the Pennsylvania Power & Light Co. Inc. at the Sunbury, Northumberland County, Martins Creek and Susquehanna power plants before retiring in 1983.
Born in Hazleton, he was a son of the late Merton and Myrtle (Kesselring) Barrow.
He was a member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ, Berwick.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving with the 211th Army Air Force Unit in Europe. He received the Distinguished Unit Badge with two Oak Leaf Clusters and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with six Bronze Stars. He retired from the Air Force Reserve in 1966.
He was a life member and former volunteer fireman with the Goodwill Hose Company, Sunbury, and a volunteer in the printing department of Berwick Hospital for 10 years.
Survivors: Wife; daughter, Janet Kane of Wilmington, Del.; two grandchildren.
Services: Private today in James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home, 1024 Market St., Berwick. No calling hours.
