Eva Virginia Arehart, 86, of Bridgewater Home, Bridgewater, formerly of Staunton, passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 27, 2007, in Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Miss Arehart was born Feb. 27, 1920, in McKinley, Va. to the late Preston M. and Edna R. (Swisher) Arehart.

She was educated in the School of Nursing at the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad Hospital, Clifton Forge, graduating in 1946. She nursed at the Johnson-Willis Hospital, Richmond until 1952, when she moved to Staunton to continue her lifetime nursing career at King's Daughters' Hospital doing private duty nursing.

Miss Arehart is survived by a sister, Lucille A. Trimble of Waynesboro; a sister-in-law, Freda Corbett Arehart of Eden, N.C.; two nieces, Patsy Arehart Robertson of Eden, N.C. and Janetta Miller Moore of Richmond; and two nephews, Jack Arehart of Greensboro, N.C. and Mike Arehart of Salisbury, N.C.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ora Arehart and Ima Arehart Miller, and a brother, Preston M. Arehart Jr.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private in Mount Herman Cemetery.
