Ardmore — John H. Moore, 89, of Moore, Okla., formerly of Ardmore, Okla., passed away on May 14, 2012, at the Norman Veteran Center in Norman, Okla. John was born on January 13, 1924, in Duncan, Okla.



John served his country as a WWII Veteran in the United States Army. He retired as an Engineer for Dresser/Halliburton. He loved outdoors, especially fishing at Lake Texoma and Murray. John was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ardmore, Okla.



He is survived by his sons, John Phillip Moore and Kevin Moore; one sister, Margaret Moore; and numerous other loving family.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Blanche Moore; wife, Patricia Moore; daughter, Pamela Moore; and four siblings, Carl, Glen, James and Helen.



A Mass luncheon will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2012, at The Assumption Catholic Church, 711 Hickory Ave., Duncan, OK 73533. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow to Duncan Municipal Cemetery, Duncan, Okla.



Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, Okla.
