Richard Worthington remained a widower for eight years. In July of 1859, at age 40, his marriage to Mary Morgan, age 28, was recorded. His occupation was lead miner and none is listed for her. Richard lived on Church Lane and Mary on Glyn Factory in the Parish of Llanidloes. Richard's Father John is listed as a Corn Dealer and Mary's Father Richard is a Miller. They were married in the Llanidloes Parish Church in the County of Montgomery, Wales. Possibly Mary and Richard were not literate as their Marks (X) were made in the presence of Edward Morgan and John Morgan. It is quite possible Mary Morgan was the daughter of Richard and Francess Owen-Morgan. The certified Entry of Marriage from the General Register Office of England offers more support to this assumption.
Mary moved to the United States in October 1891 after the death of her husband in June of 1891. Accompanying her was her daughter Ann (Mrs. Thomas Edward Evans, Sr.) and her grandson, Thomas Edward Evans, Jr. Living in the United States were her children Richard Henry and Jane Worthington-Powell. In 1891-92 her son John, his wife Mary Goff-Worthington and three of their children also immigrated to the US and lived in Johnstown, PA, and then moved to Buffalo, NY.

The deceased was born in Llanidloes, North Wales, on February 3, 1831, and was married to Richard Worthington, who died in Wales in June 1891, at the age of 77 years. Mrs. Worthington came to America in October 1891, with Mr. and Mrs. Evans and made her home here up to the time of her death.
Mrs. Worthington was the mother of ten children; six survived to adulthood—Richard Henry, of Lorain; Ohio, John who relocated with his family to Buffalo, NY; Edward, of Llanidloes; Ann (Mrs. Thomas Edward Evans) mentioned above; Jane (Mrs. Evan David Powell) and Thomas Worthington, of Wales, who was in Johnstown during the Great Flood. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, eight of whom reside in Wales, the others in this country. Mrs. Worthington was one of the most highly respected Welsh residents in this vicinity. The funeral will take place from the Evans home at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon (December 16, 1902). The Rev. Robert Humphreys, Pastor of the Ninth Street Calvinistic Methodist Church, of which the deceased was a member, will conduct the obsequies, after which interment will be made in Grandview Cemetery (15, ED 2).
