Anne Anderson
Anne (Ciak) Anderson, 96 of Manchester, Conn., died May 8, 2012 at her home.
She was born July 21, 1915 to Jacob and Agnes (Adamczyk) Ciak in Glastonbury, Conn.
She had resided in Manchester all her life. Anne was employed for 25 years in the Manchester Town Clerk Office, retiring as assistant town clerk in 1977.
She was a communicant of St. James Church and after retiring became an avid golfer, playing in four golf leagues a week well into her mid 80s.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmore "Pete" S. Anderson; son Gary C. Anderson; and grandsons, John E. Nelligan and Brian M. Nelligan.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn A. (John E.) Nelligan of Shrewsbury, Mass.; son, John (Susan) D. Anderson of Newport, Ore.; daughter-in-law, Debra Anderson of Manchester; sister, Cele Clough of Bedford, N.H.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Gochee, Matthew Anderson and Mark Anderson; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Monday, May 14, at Holmes Funeral Home in Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church in Manchester. Burial will be in East Cemetery, Manchester.
