William Pierce Bryant was the son of James Bryant and Winnifred A.Woodard.

He was a farmer by trade.

He was first married to Lucinda J.Lewis around 1874 , and they had 4 children:James William,John Leonard,Charles,and Grace.

It is not known if William and Lucinda divorced or she died while they were still married , but , William married a second time to Lucy Ellen Travis , around 1892. They had 5 children:Abbie,Marchie,Lucy,Robert W.,and Mattie Lee.

William died after being accidentally crushed under the wheels of "railroad car or cars" , according to his death certificate. ( He survived for an hour after the time of the incident! )

He was preceeded in death by; both parents , unknown siblings ,his son; Charles , his daughters; Abbie , and Mattie Lee.

He was survived by; his 2nd wife , Lucy , and his children; James William , John Leonard , Grace ,Marchie, Lucy , & Robert.
