Died at age 69 of a heart attack at the residence of his daughter in Nairn, Louisiana. He left behind a beloved wife, one daughter, three sons, three grandchildren and one brother. He was a native of Algiers, La.

Services at Algiers Methodist Church.

The former police sergeant was appointed to the police force in 1909. In 1927, he was made a corporal and then promoted to sergeant in 1932. He retired on January 1, 1936.
