Everett was the son of Edward and Mary (Williams) King. He had one sibling, an older sister named Martha. The family relocated from Rhode Island to Minot, Maine, before 1880 where his father was employed in a paper mill.
Before 1900 they settled in Leeds and had a farm in the southwest part of Leeds, almost right on the border to Greene.
He married to Lulu M. Hinkley of Lewiston in 1904.
Their children were Everett, Irving and Luella. Everett died at age 9 of pneumonia. Irving and Luella married and raised families in area towns
