COALVILLE, Aug . 3--Chauncey Crittenden, 85 years old, a resident of Summit county for more that forty years and and prominent in business and civic affairs, died this morning at his residence at Hoytsville, two miles south of Coalville. He was born in Conway, Mass.

Mr. Crittenden was a member of the 2nd Regiment Connecticut Infantry, Company F. He was engaged in farming. He leaves five sons, Willard, of Bingham; Oscar, of Ogden; C.H., Irwin and Lyman of Hoytsville.
