Jonah Deal Allen, 88, of Ansonville, passed away Tuesday morning, May 8, 2012, at Stanly Regional Medical Center, with his family by his side.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Robert Burr will officiate. The family will welcome friends at the Allen home, 43 Fries Blvd., Ansonville.
Mr. Allen was born July 23, 1923 in Anson County, to the late William Addison and Vesta Kepley Allen. He was a Veteran of the US Army,
having proudly served in WWII. He was a member of Ansonville United Methodist Church.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Sara Dula Allen of the home; son, Boggan Allen and wife, Diane of Ansonville; brother, Raeford Allen and wife Rita of York, SC.
