VERA LENORA (BROWN) BIRKHEAD
Vera was the daughter of Lenora C (Hobbs) and Zachariah T Brown.
She married Harrison H "Harry" Birkhead, son of Richard Ward Birkhead and his second wife Barbara Elder Peavler. To this union was born two sons; Donald H and Harry; and twin daughters Hazel & Helen.
Vera died July 5, 1921 at the age of 26, several months after their twin daughters were born. Possibly from complications due to childbirth?
Both Vera and Harry had siblings who did not have children of their own who took the children in and raised them. The twins went to live with Vera's sister; Zetta and her husband Louie Trimpe. The boys went to live with Harry's brother; James Birkhead.
According to family records, the boys were raised on a ranch and the girls would go there to visit.
