Paralee Cotton Collier (1921-2006)
Paralee Cotton Collier, age 84, of Grayson, Ky., went home to be with her Lord on Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 10, 1921, in Lawrence County, Ky., a daughter of the late John and Stella Murphy Cotton.
She was a homemaker and a member of East Side Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Albert Collier Jr.; two brothers, Ernest Cotton and John Ed Barker; and two sisters, Lavada Perry and Fanny Cotton; and a son-in-law, Glen Burton.
Survivors include a daughter, Lettie Burton of Grayson; two sons, Chuck and Marsha Burton of Kevil, Ky., and Michael and Kim Burton, formerly of Grayson; a sister, Ida Belle Tussey of Denton, Ky.; a grandson, William II and Carrie Burton of Grayson; three great-granddaughters, Sunny Burgess, Baylee Burton and Katherine Burton; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Eastside Church of Christ with Bill Bush, minister. Burial will be in Bowling Cemetery in Hitchins, Ky.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson.
