The Aransas Pass Progress April 6, 2012:

Thomas M. Andrews passed away April 5, 2012. He was born on December 22, 1930 in Alva, Oklahoma to Marvin and Mable Anderson Andrews. After graduating from High School, he was offered a football scholarship to SMU. He served in the US Navy and then received his Bachelor and Law Degree at the University of Texas. He moved to Aransas Pass in 1959 where he established his law practice with Bill Ellis and later Allen Lawrence. He served one term in the Texas Legislature and recently received his 50 years service pin from the Texas Bar Association. He was a member of the VFW and was serving as director of Coastal Bend Foundation.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and daughter Julie. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, two sons, two daughters, brother, and four grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Saturday, April 7, 2012 at First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Prairie View Cemetery.
