David R. Blose Sr.
David R. Blose Sr. 79, of Millcreek passed away at home on Saturday May 12, 2012. He was surrounded by his loving family when the angels came to take him to Jesus' loving arms. He was the son of the late Herman and Wava Jefferies Blose.
David was born and raised in Hamilton Pa. He graduated from Punxsutawney High School. He worked at Erie Magnetics as a painter for more than 35 years.
In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by a son: Eric Blose, three sisters, and seven brothers.
David is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ruth Blose along with two sons: John and David Blose Jr., two daughters: Christine Miller (Joe), and Ruth Carnes (Jim), one brother: Blair Blose, as well as 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
David enjoyed cars and motorcycles but most of all he really loved taking care of his family, especially the grandchildren.
A special thanks is given to Rachelle Surovick, Kyle Blose, Ruth Carnes, and Dawn Thomas for the wonderful around the clock loving care.
Friends will be received at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, Erie Pa. on Tuesday from 2-4, and 6-8 p.m. and are invited to services there on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Abe Edwards officiating.
Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
