Mr. Coogler died Wednesday, January 21, 2004. Born in Irmo, he was a son of the late Samuel William and Isabelle Ballentine Coogler. He served in the Navy during World War II and retired from the City of Columbia Water Meter Maintenance. He was a life long member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Edna Koon Coogler; daughters and sons-in-law, Myrtle and John Kaminer of Irmo and Barbara and Mark Bouknight of Irmo; brothers, Herbert Coogler and Howard Coogler, Sr., both of Irmo; grandchildren, Diana Kaminer, Tom Kaminer, Lewis Cook and Bradley Cook. He was predeceased by daughter, Jeanette Collum.
