Curtis was the third child of Elsie Goodall Postlewaite and Mack Postlewaite. He married Thelma Miller 3 September 1938 in Belle, WV. Thelma was born about 1913...in Kanawha County, the daughter of Ed Miller and Bessie Shiflett.
Both of Curtis' younger brothers died during childhood.
Curtis became a medical doctor and practiced in the New Martinsville area. he was a good son, and kept in touch with his mother his whole life. He and Thelma traveled to Charleston (back in the days before Interstate Highways) and visited his mother and siblings.
