George A. Grovenburg CW3 Ret. Army George, 74, born in Nevada City, CA 5/7/1933, a resident of Puyallup for many years, lost his battle with cancer on 7/25/2007 with his loving wife . . . at his bedside. He will be greatly missed by his friends and all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma, of 45 years, and his parents Eugene and Florence. He is survived by his 3 sons, . . . , his loving sisters . . . [two], NV, 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, his stepchildren and step-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and other extended family members. He enjoyed fishing, travel and golf with his buddies from the McChord "Whispering Firs Men's Club." A military memorial service will be held at 11:00am on 8/3/2007 at the Fir Lane Memorial Chapel.
