Mrs. H.J. Halliday, 1696 Victoria, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Baptist Hospital after a long illness. A native of Corsicana, Mrs. Halliday had resided in Beaumont since 1904. She was the former Anna Bonham of Corsicana. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Beaumont and of the TEL Sunday School class of the church. Mrs. Halliday was a member of the Col. George Moffett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; of the Woman's Club of Beaumont, of the Pan American Round Table, the Music Study Club and the Beaumont Art Museum. Surviving are her husband, H.J. Halliday; a daughter, Miss Elizabeth Halliday; two sons, Herbert B. Halliday and David Halliday, all of Beaumont; two grandchildren, Laura Krin Halliday and Herbert Keith Halliday, both of Beaumont, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Roberts and Pipkin-Brulin Funeral Home. Dr. Jaroy Weber, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Oliver Beall, associate pastor. Place of interment will be announced.
