( Bill)was a WW11 Veteran.He was retired after 20 years of service with Firestone Steel.Three sons;James,Roger and Carl Wade White,all of Spartanburg;two daughters,Peggy Fortner of Bessemer City,NC.,and Shirley Mann of Chesnee.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Chesnee.Funeral services will be held at 2 PM.Thursday at the mortuary,conducted by the Rev.Roger Byrd.Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.The family is at the home of a daughter,Shirley Mann,306 Daniel Morgan School Road.Gaffney.
