S. J. Gach, Retired Farmer, Dies at 59
Simon John Gach, 59 years old, a farmer on rural route No. 5, south of St. Joseph, died this morning at a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of the county and a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Mr. Gach is survived by his wife, Mrs. Victoria A. Gach; two daughters, Miss Mary Elizabeth Gach and Miss Loretta Gach, all of the home; four sons, Victor and Bernard Gach, St. Joseph; Thomas Gach, with the army of occupation in Germany, and Brother Jude Michael of the St. Mels High School in Chicago; three brothers, Joseph G. Gach, St. Joseph; Anthony and Leo Gach, Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Clam and Mrs. Hele Herrick, both of Chicago, and two grandchildren. The body is at the H. O. Sidenfaden & Son mortuary.
NOTE: Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
