Marcy James Reinhart
Marcy James Reinhart, 83, of Grants Pass died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at her daughter's home.
A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel of the Valley-L.B. Hall Funeral Home.
Grants Pass Funeral Alternatives is in charge of arrangements.
Reinhart was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Bremerton, Wash. She worked in the radio industry before becoming an editor of a newspaper. She later made a living as one of the first women building contractors on the West Coast.
In 1970, she married Bobby Reinhart, who died before her. In 2001, she moved to Grants Pass from Sacramento, Calif., to be near her family.
She enjoyed reading and storytelling.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Knox of San Diego, Bob Vaughan of Linwood, Wash., and Skip Newberry of Neu Ulm, Germany; a daughter, Bea Ryan of Grants Pass; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A son, Charles Knox, died in 1944.
