Killed in car/bus accident, Nottoway River Bridge, Franklin, VA. Others killed in same accident were her husband, Freddie Atlas Askew, Raymond F. Martin and his wife, Mattie Davis Martin, Rueben A. Martin and his wife, Essie Lois Vann Martin. Joint funeral for all six (6) victims was held at Bethany United Methodist Church in Milwaukee,N.C.,a few days after Christmas Day 1943.
