Mrs. Elloise D. Wilhoite, 82 years old, passed away on May 11, 2012, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on April 23, 1930, in Fairland, Indiana, to the late Virgil Adam and Mary DeLena (Morris) Abbitt.

A life-resident of Boone County, Elloise graduated from Kirklin High School in Kirklin, Indiana in 1948.

On September 7, 1952, in Boone County, Indiana, she was married to Marion Eugene Wilhoite. Mr. Wilhoite survives.

From 1948 to 1953, Elloise worked in the clerical field for the Internal Revenue Service in Indianapolis. After her marriage, she spent her years as a devoted homemaker.

Elloise enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. She was well known for her homemade noodles and snickerdoodle cookies.

She was a member of Fairview Congregational Christian Church in Lebanon. She was a well-known pianist for over fifty years for several area churches. She was also a fifty-year member of the Eastern Star where she held the position of Worthy Matron.

Survivors: husband: Mr. Marion E. Wilhoite – Lebanon, Indiana, four Children: Mr. Mark Wilhoite and wife, Karen – Oak Creek, Wisconsin, Mr. Alan Wilhoite and wife, Marcia – Lebanon, Indiana, Mr. Kevin Wilhoite and wife, Debbie – Zionsville, Indiana, Mr. Tim Wilhoite and wife, Kelly – Brownsburg, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren.

Deceased: her parents; a sister, Eleanor Meeks; a brother, Charles Abbitt; one great grandson and one great granddaughter preceded her in death.
