Barbara Jean Dilts, 67, of Emporia, Kansas, died Monday, July 8, 2013 at her home.

Barbara was born on February 15, 1946 in Woodward, Oklahoma, the daughter of Wesley and Edna McKenna Mathews. She married William "Bill" Albert Dilts on January 27, 1970 in Emporia. He died on December 13, 1997 in Emporia.

Surviving family members include: sons, Mark Danford of Emporia, Shannan Dilts of Council Grove, and Jason Dilts of Emporia; one grandson, Dustin Danford of Emporia; sisters, Donna Matison of Hutchinson, Kansas, Mary Swepston of Hutchinson, Patsy Bedner of South Hutchinson, and Dixie Mathews of Overland Park, Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Seldon Mathews; and a sister, Wanda Mathews.

Barbara worked for Hopkins Manufacturing for over 15 years and was a member of Victory Fellowship Foursquare Church in Emporia.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Patio Garden of Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:00 Thursday evening at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
