Born March 17, 1921 in Ridgeform, IL, he was a son of the late Howard Adams and Jessie Haworth Adams. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Verna Bishop Adams who died in 1998, along with five brothers, Harold, Donald, Dane, Charles and Harlan Adams, and two sisters, Lela Ruth Shepard and Blanch Shepard.

A retired US Army Master Sgt., he served in WWII and Korea and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one sister, Zua Jean Akers of Clinton, IN. along with several nieces and nephews; special friends around Hendersonville and many military buddies around the United States that will truly miss his loving, giving and humorous nature.
