Robert M. Tombaugh, 76, Salina, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center, Wichita.
Mr. Tombaugh was born Oct 4, 1923, at Burdett and was a resident of Salina for 44 years. He was a professor at Kansas Wesleyan University and a chemist for Bucher, Willis and Ratcliff. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association, AMBUCS, AM Chemical Society, Water Environment Federation, Sigmax, Sigma Pi Sigma, Phi Lamda Upsilon, Delta Upsilon and Tau Kappa Epsilon.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at University United Methodist Church, 1509 S. Santa Fe, Salina, the Rev. Robert Conway officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.
Memorial may be made to University United Methodist Church Building Fund, Salina, or Olive W. Garvey Center for Healing Arts, Wichita.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today and 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina 67401. -- furnished by Thomas L. Harman.
