Daniel Keyser was born in 1764 in Franconia, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, the son of Henrick Keyser and Catherine Gluck, both of whom were also born in Pennsylvania. On Christmas Day in 1790, Daniel married Hannah Smith (b. in Ireland 1770) at the Old Swede's Church in Philadelphia. Daniel and Hannah had at least seven children, including my 4th-great grandmother Catherine Keyser. Hannah died in 1806. (Three grandsons of Daniel and Hannah--Daniel III and his brothers Peter and Jeremiah--fought for the Union in the Civil War: all died in 1864.) By 1810, Daniel and his children had moved to Tuscawaras County, Ohio, where on 11 March 1810, Daniel married Mary "Polly" M. Domer (1784-1864). They were married by Isaac Deardorff, J.P. Daniel and Mary had four children. Daniel died on 15 April 1841. Daniel is buried at Seltonright Cemetery (Pleasant Valley), Auburn Twp. Daniel was a farmer and a shoemaker.
