George F Ballard Private First Class was a member of Company G,2nd Battalion 180th Infantry Regiment,45th Infantry Division.On February 22,1952,a truck in which he was riding went over a embankment near Mak-Tong, North Korea killing him.Private First Class Ballard was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal,the National Defense Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
