A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Martin and Castille Funeral Home, Southside location, 600 E. Farrel Rd. on Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of his burial. A Rosary will be prayed on Friday evening at 7 p.m. at the Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
Tom was born on November 4, 1940 to Loris and Alice (Leger) Boullion of Morse, La. He received his Bachelor's Degree at LSU, his Master's Degree at USL and his PhD at the University of Texas. Tom was a professor of Mathematics and Statistics for more than forty years, teaching at Texas Tech University, the University of Texas and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He was an avid gardener and fisherman who enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren in all of their sports and activities.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy Fontenot Boullion; one son, John Boullion (Toshiko) of Okinawa, Japan; four daughters, Mary Winterrowd (Jerry) of Benbrook, Texas, Lorrie Joubert (Bryan) of Lafayette, La., Julie Trahan (Stewart) of Youngsville, La. and Debbie Landry (Wayne) of Broussard, La.; grandchildren include, Ken, Maya, and Saya Boullion, Elisa, Chelsea and Michael Winterrowd; Tyler and Jacob Randall; Justin and Kayla Trahan; Shellie, Jaime and Courtney Landry. He is also survived by a brother, James Boullion (Juanita) of Carlyss, La.; one sister, Lucille Boullion Gautreaux (Murphy) of Morse, La.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Stewart and Justin Trahan, Michael Winterrowd, Wayne Landry, Bryan Joubert and Tyler and Jacob Randall. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Winterrowd, James Boullion, Murphy Gautreaux and Tom Rizzuto.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Deborah Johnson, her staff and the Cancer Center of Lafayette General for their dedication to his care. And, especially Marilyn Hester, for her countless hours of unselfish care for Tom.
