Born to Clyde and Reubena (Hershberger) Garrison. Husband of Edith Wolf. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1942 saw action in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. During WWII he was a fighter pilot in the Pacific Theater of Operation. During Korean he was a radar intercept director. After flying 100 combat missions in Vietnam he was assigned to the Philippines Air Force Base, there he was Chief Air Traffic Controller of joint US and Philippine Air Force Control Center. He retired in 1968.
