Samuel Kidder was the son of Phineas Kidder and Hannah Crosby. Samuel married Hannah Brown, a native of Ipswich, Mass., in Lyndeboro, NH on October 12, 1812 and came to Francestown, NH around 1812. He was born March 13, 1787 in Chelmsford, Mass., and died in Francestown, March 6, 1866. His wife also died in this town, Feb. 28, 1864, aged 77 years. Their children (Betsey, Ann, Hannah, John, Martha, and Levi) were all born in this town.
