This is Hiram J. "Speed" Tye who married Rachel Siler, d/o John Wesley & Lucinda (Evans) Siler. Hiram was the son of Elizabeth "Betsy" Tye. His wife Rachel is buried in the Cane Creek Cemetery at the Clear Fork Church in Whitley County, KY. Hiram's death resulted from blood poisoning caused by a blister rubbed on his heel during a cattle drive to Atlanta. He was 44 years old at the time.
