He was born June 6, 1878 in Lewis County,son of the late Inman and Margaret Waggy Bailey.
Edward had been a resident of Roane Countysince 1906, he was a member of the Bayes Chapel Baptist Church and was a retired oil field worker and farmer. He also was a grandfather and a coach at St. Albans High School.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Clover A.C. Church the Rev Orland Reynolds and Dorsey Marks Officiating.Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery.
The body will remain at Sinnett Funeral Home here.
