The Times-Picayune (New Orleans, LA) published Friday, July 12, 1991:
Beatrice L. Montamat, a retired recording secretary of mortgages for Orleans Parish, died Wednesday at Hotel Dieu Hospital. She was 80. Mrs. Montamat was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons No. 2786, Green Lawn Garden Guild, Variety Club and St. Theresa Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church Prayer Group. Survivors include her husband, Edward J. Montamat Sr.; a daughter, Marie Louise April; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 11 a.m. at P.J. McMahon and Sons Funeral Home, 4800 Canal St. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
