A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 1996, in Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary Chapel for Vesta Vay Ahlschlager, who died Sept. 3 at 86.
Mrs. Ahlschlager was born Jan. 25, 1910, in Pryor, Okla. In 1931, she married Vernon L. She had been a Portland resident since 1976.
Surviving are her husband; son, Kent L. of Beaverton; daughter, Kay Slusarenko of Lake Oswego; brother, Earl Hudson of Castleford, Idaho; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Dispostion was by cremation. Private interment will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances to the Arthritis Foundation, Oregon chapter.
