Earl S. "Reds" Lorrah, 83, of Bethlehem Township, passed away suddenly in his home on April 16, 2012.

Born and raised at the old homestead in Freemansburg, he was a son of the late Homer H. and Olive (Meyer) Lorrah. He served his country during World war II, in the U.S. Navy on the Missouri. He Worked 43 years for the PB&E Railroad before retiring in about 1995. During this same time he also operated his own paving and excavating company (Lorrah's Paving and Excavating) for 20 years. He was a 23rd degree member of the H. Stanley Goodwin Lodge 648 – Free and Accepted Masons and the Tall Cedars Lodge 61. He was also an avid aviator and in the past flew his own planes. More than anything he enjoyed people, playing poker and traveling and will be missed by his traveling companions all over the country. Earl was also a devout Christian and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Palmer Twp. His Church family were also an important part of his life.

Survivors: sons, Dean M. Lorrah of Bethlehem; Dan Lorrah and his fiancé Marlene Oswalt of Salisbury Twp.; Vicki "Veronica" Martin and her husband Robert of Freemansburg; 3 grandchildren, Wendy George; Tina Getz; Ashley Martin; great grandchildren, Kayla, Darryl, Julian, Alexus, Faith, Paige, Ryan Jr., and Shane. He was preceded in death by brothers, Homer, William and Robert; sister, Aloma Compton and 2 great grandchildren, Shanice and Samantha.

Services: Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012 in Calvary Baptist Church, 5300 Green Pond Rd. Easton PA 18042. The family will receive friends in the Church on Friday morning from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
