Charles F. "C.F." Woodyard, 86, of Parkersburg, passed away August 8, 2006, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 2, 1920, in Rochester, Pa., and was a son of the late Fred and Ethel Marie Foster Woodyard. Charles retired from G.E. Plastics with 25 years of service and was a former employee of Buckley's Plumbing and had worked at the WEAC Park. Charles enjoyed working on small engines and loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was a member of the Freedom Riders Club and had participated in the St. Jude Children's Hospital Christmas Toy Gift Program.

Surviving are three daughters, Donna Snyder and her husband Steve, Little Hocking, Ohio; Shirley Gilchrist and her husband Daniel, Mineralwells, W.Va., and Kathleen Woodyard and her longtime companion, Phil Heck, Parkersburg, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Jason Snyder and his wife Jaime, Belpre, Ohio, and Martin Tennant, Oakland, Calif.; a great-grandson, Brenden Snyder, Belpre, Ohio; a sister, Donna Buffington, Belleville, W.Va., and his faithful dog companion, Alex.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes LeFebvre Woodyard in 2001, and a sister, Dana Snider.
