Jim was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and served in the ministry for forty years. He preached for several congregations over the years, including four years in Maine and for ten years in Connecticut. In his younger days, he enjoyed camping, playing the guitar, and was a very good handy-man, mechanic and was oh so clever. He even built the family's wood-burning stove. Jim was a professional story and joke teller. He tried to keep everyone happy. Jim and Maxine moved to Brookshire in 1995, where Jim was a floral deliveryman and enjoyed his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine, and four daughters, Sheri, Sharon, Jamie and Jill. Three son-in-law's, Jeff, David and Kevin. Six grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Michael, Travis, David and Hannah. Six great-grandchildren, Devan, Kobe, Jaycee, Miley, Trynity and Lincoln.
