Donald Nore, 64, Kenmare, died Wednesday, June 3, in a Minot hospital. His funeral service was held Saturday, June 6 at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with Rev. Charles Taft, officiating, Mrs. Joan Larson was the organist, and special music was provided by a quartet of Bud Carlson, Mert Coughlin, Lyle Erickson and Curt Erickson with Karla Schneider as accompanist. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare.
Casketbearers included Dan Dennis, Frank Zeltinger, Archie Kress, Lyle Helmers and Ron Egeberg.
He was born July 29, 1922, in Lowland Township, Mountrail County, to Oscar and Lena Nore, and was reared in the Coulee area. He served in the Army during World War II in Europe and then returned to the Kenmare area. He married Otis St. Peter November 23, 1948, in Minot. They lived in Kenmare where he owned and operated a house moving and construction business. She died February 16, 1977. He married Shirley Triplett December 30, 1977, in Kenmare where they since have lived. He continued operating his construction business.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7049, the Last Man's Club, Association of Commerce and Nazareth Lutheran Church, all of Kenmare.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Joel and Larry, and stepson, Ross Triplett, all Kenmare; daughter, Mrs. Craig (Sandra) Livingston; stepdaughters, Carol Gleave, Kathy Mickelson, Charlotte Vastag and Patty Triplett; seven grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren.
Thompson-Larson Funeral Home of Kenmare was in charge of arrangements.
